The Government of the Northwest Territories is currently restricting travel into the NWT. As a result we are operating this winter, however you must have proper permission to enter the NWT. Please see: for entry requirements and details. At the moment we are taking new bookings for travel December 21, 2020-April, 2021 for NWT residents only. We are taking bookings from out of territory travellers from September 1st, 2021 onwards. Thank you for your understanding.

Learning from the Land in the North

Top 5 Northern Lights Experiences

William Gray featured Blachford as one of the top five places to see the Aurora in an October 2012 edition.  We’d like to add that both Blachford Lake Lodge and Yellowknife are in the Northwest Territories, not the Yukon!

Traveler's 2008 Stay List

In the April 2008 issue, Blachford was nominated for demonstrating a “sense of place” for its authenticity, for sharing the soul of its location and for respecting its environment.
