Accommodation & Dining
The main lodge is the heart and soul of Blachford Lake Lodge. Located atop a rolling hill, the main floor serves as the lounge, with bar, dining room and library. The main floor also houses the kitchen and a small office, and his and hers showers and washrooms, shared with cabin guests. Unusually for such a remote facility, our washrooms not only have hot running water, but also hotel-syle toilets; you would hardly know they are the eco-friendly composting kind!
Our largest guest rooms are the Sunrise Rooms (Sunrise 1 & Sunrise 2), and each feature 2x double beds (an additional twin can be added). Sunrise 2 is known as the "Kate & William Room", as it was the room used by Prince William and Kate, the Dutchess during their time at the lodge.
Our beautiful Sunset Rooms (Sunset 1, Sunset 2 & Sunset 3) all feature 1x double bed, 1x twin bed, and 1x twin bed in a loft (perfect for families with kids that want a place of their own!). They feature the most fantastic sunset views you can imagine.
There are five log guest cabins detached from the main lodge (approximately 5-9 minute walk) to choose from - separated for privacy. Each has its own lake view, outside bonfire pit and a high-tech en suite composting toilet, and wash basin. All cabins have electric lighting and power and feature a minimum of three beds with down duvets. Showers and bathrooms are a five minute walk to the lodge. All cabins are heated by a cozy wood or pellet stove. The lodge and all cabins enjoy free wireless internet access. They are all non-smoking. When you book into a cabin, you stay only with the group you're travelling with (unless you are a solo willing-to-share traveller).

The Hot Tub
Just outside the south entrance of the main lodge is our hot tub - a guest favourite summer and winter. It's protected from the wind, and faces the southern sky which fills with the aurora borealis in both winter and autumn.
Located on the lake, close to Beaver Lodge cabin, is a hand built cedar wood sauna. The perfect place to relax, before a dip in the lake or quick step into the winter air.
